I like the services that Rapid Share offers – the site is popular , many people use it and you can easily find an abundance of files there.What I do no like about Rapid share is that their limits for free users are too high. Let face it -having to wait an hour or two just to get the next file you want to download- that really insane. I know what would you say – get a premium account. Well I would but the prices of Rapid Share are too high -. The other option they offer for earning premium account is sharing files and getting 10 000 points – right now it seems that I will need another year or so to be able to do just that.Internet is full of articles about ways to avoid some of the limits – most are either with java or the use proxy servers. I have tried a lot of thing – and nothing seemed to work. Until recently – I discovered Universal Share Dowloader.

When you use the program you will be able to load several rapid share links and download them one after another without the need to be present in front of the computer .In other words the program queues multiple files and download them all one by one, as the service allows. It even waits for the download ticket to be reserved and then starts downloading the file automatically!

Universal Share Downloader is configured to work with more than a hundred free hosting services. It can also be integrated into Firefox (with the FlashGot extension) and Internet Explorer, plus monitor the Windows Clipboard for copied download links. Now rapid share don’t support resuming broken for its free users, so Universal Share Downloader is also unable to resume from the files from it. But it does have resume support built in, so if there is a service out there that supports resuming and Universal Share Downloader is aware of that, it will resume the file.

Universal Share Downloader supports “proxy lists”, which are essentially collections of various proxies which are used randomly to try and bypass IP address based bandwidth limitations imposed by the service.

I have tried out this program and could not manage to get it working – so until recently I thought that it was a piece of garbage . Then I met someone who told me that the program does work – but you have to use it along with ABBYY FineReader – as that is the only way through which the captcha can be scanned and entered. Basically what you have to do is download ABBYY FineReader install it in its default folder and then install Universal Share Manager in the same folder – that is what I did and it works as a charm.

Can you explain me how do you put the Chapt automaticly….i cant do it…i downloade the ABBYY and did what you said…but i don t know how that works…please help me

Hello Bruno,

I used a portable version of Abbyy reader – and did nothing other installing USD in its folder – and it worked fine. what I could recommends you is to look for a portable version of Abbyy ( it will not be an official release ).

You just have to put the program in he folder of Abbyy – so its easy . And check your e-mail – if you have provided a correct one in your comment you shall have a message. Tell me how it went ( :

To get Universal Share Downloader working so that you never have to enter the CAPTCHAs again or wait for downloads see the forum at http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1065

Basically from this site install USD and CapOCR to read the CAPTCHAS, then if you use a modem download modem reconnect. If you use a router see page 9 for routercontrol. Its actually very easy to set up. Once you download them you have to right click on the .inf files then click “install” to install them. Install USD first then the rest so they integrate with each other.

HEllo, i downloaded the usdownloaded from the link that you have given, first off its in russian and is there a way for me to change tat? and i cant find a portable ABBYY FineReader, so if have a link to that as well, it would be greatfull, if you do plz email me

Hola! Quisiera saber cómo se hacer para integrar ABBYY FineReader con USD, ya que no se hacerlo bien… Mas arriba lei que hay que colocarlo en la misma carpeta que el ABBYY, pero aun no estoy seguro, coloco la carpeta que contiene todo el USD dentro de la carpeta del programa ABBYY, o coloco todos los archivos del USD sueltos en la carpeta ABBYY? Por favor, respondan a mi pregunta… URGENTE! Por cierto, tengo el ABBYY FineReader 9.0, gracias de antemano.
