American cinema

Wishin’ and Hopin’ (2014)

Wishin’ and Hopin’ is a delightful comedy flick that'll put a smile on your face from start to finish.

St. Vincent (2014)

A well told story about an unlikely babysitter for his 12-yr-old next door neighbor with Bill Murray and Jaeden Lieberher in the starring roles.

Mercy (2014)

A film based on a short story from Stephen King's Skeleton Crew, Mercy features popular young actors Chandler Riggs and Joel Courtney.

Little Manhattan (2005)

A magical time in a child's life -- first love. Little Manhattan captures that special time so well. A fantastic film that unfortunately deserved a lot more attention than it got upon its release.

VARMiNT (2012)

A 12-year-old savage boy tries to survive in a hostile world among people that seemingly regard him as a pest.

Little Lord Fauntleroy (1936)

A tint of sentimentality and drama and a lot of charm and talent all helped director John Cromwell to create a classic feel-good story. My highest recommendation.

Hide Your Smiling Faces (2013)

Hide Your Smiling Faces is a psychological drama that follows the rite-of-passage experiences of two adolescent kids as they face a shocking tragedy.

Camp (2013)

A troubled boy is sent to a summer camp that caters to abused and neglected kids. Camp is a good film that doesn’t bore and offers good dramatic and emotional content.

The Cold Lands (2013)

The Cold Lands explores the trials and tribulations of its 11-yr-old protagonist, who's carefree childhood comes to an abrupt end.

The Nail: The Story of Joey Nardone (2009)

This is a classic tale of redemption, a film well worth seeing despite its shortcomings.

The Tree Of Life (2011)

The Tree Of Life contains instructive moments of sadness,  is visually beautiful, and strangely and stunningly uplifting; a true work of art.

Gun Smugglers (1948)

Gun Smugglers stars a young protagonist and has everything you could expect from a good Western – exciting fist fights, shootouts, lots of horse-riding  and, of course,  a beautiful maiden.
